New York Central Mutual Insurance was in need of a new look. For more than 100 years, the property and casualty insurer has been focused on the needs of their insureds. Yet they had somehow neglected their own. The company knew they needed to simplify the name and give it some modern day appeal, but not at the expense of their heritage of strength and stability which the train in their previous identity came to symbolize. A new identity was developed with this in mind, blending streamlined iconography with a bolder primary color palette. The logo and branding elements were used on everything from new signage and employee apparel to premium items and collateral. Brand guidelines were developed to insure consistency across all sales channels.
